Puyang Ruisen New Materials Co ., Ltd. Was established in March 2021, and is a new type of joint-stock enterprise founded by Shandong Ruisen Petroleum Resin Co., Ltd. The enterprise plans to invest 1.05 billion yuan to construct a 30,000 ton/year of modified C5 petroleum resin, 50,000 ton/year of hydrogenated petroleum resin and 20,000 ton/year of dimethyl sulfoxide project, which covers an area of 206,770 square meters.

The first phase of the project has and investment of 350 million yuan to mainly constructing a 30,000 ton/year of modified C5 petroleum resin production plant and its supporting projects, with the main product of modified C5 petroleum resin. This product is an aromatic modified C5 petroleum resin produced using advanced technology developed by our company for over 20 years. It is a high-end petroleum resin product with excellent initial viscosity and narrow molecular weight distribution. It has a good compatibility with elastomers such as EVA, natural rubber, butadiene styrene rubber, butyl rubber, PE rubber, styrene-butadiene block copolymers (such as SIS, SBS) and etc.

The second phase of the project plans to invest 700 million yuan mainly to construct a 50,000 ton/year of hydrogenated petroleum resin production unit and a 20,000 ton/year of dimethyl sulfoxide project. The main products are hydrogenated petroleum resin and dimethyl sulfoxide. Hydrogenated petroleum resin is a new product independently developed by our company. It is a colorless transparent petroleum resin with excellent oxidation resistance and stability by hydrogenation treatment of basic petroleum resin. This product is colorless, odorless, non-toxic, and has excellent photothermal stability. It is widely used in hot melt adhesives, adhesives for diapers and sanitary products, new coatings, inks, highway road marking paints and other fields. Dimethyl sulfoxide as an excellent solvent is widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutic, electronics, synthetic fibers, plastics, printing, dyeing industries and etc. Especially with the development of new quinolone antibiotics such as norfloxacin and ofloxacin and intermediate fluoroanilines in the pharmaceutical industry, the demand for dimethyl sulfoxide is rapidly increasing year by year, and it is a new type of chemical product with good social and economic benefits.

At present, the company has 130 employees, including 23 senior and intermediate professional and technical personnel, and more than 70% of them are graduated from college and technical school.
